On the Friday as I waited to check the results, thoughts from every angle ran my mind but eventually I just let it be. Not winning is hard on anyone but I dare to say, I'm really proud of myself.
It's sad to me that we either abuse self esteem to a level where it belittles others or we are so hard on ourselves that we never stop to celebrate. My entry was far from perfect ( as will be most things I do in life ) but this time around I'm going to pour a glass of wine, give myself a pat on the back and whisper a small but strong, "Good job Arlina. You done good."
It's time we start celebrating ourselves and each other again. We're doing the best we can. ||
